How PhoneNest works.

Four simple steps from quote to cash. No haggling, no awkward inspection visits, no last-minute price drops. We tell you up front what we'll pay and we stick to it unless your phone arrives in a different condition to what you described.

Step 1

Get an instant quote

Open the quote builder. Pick your iPhone model and storage. Then answer six quick questions about its condition — does it turn on, what does the screen look like, how's the battery, is iCloud removed.

Your phone is ranked into one of six tiers: Excellent, Good, Fair, Other Issue, Damaged, or Dead. The first three use our seeded catalog prices for your exact model and storage. The other three are calculated as a percentage of the Excellent price. The final number you see is what we pay — assuming our inspection confirms your answers.

Step 2

Send your iPhone

Choose one of two ways to get it to us:

  • Free AusPost shipping. We email you a prepaid satchel label within one business day. Pack your phone, drop it at any post office. The label is tracked and insured.
  • Drop in store. Bring it to our Brisbane store (283 Given Terrace, Mon–Sat 10am–6pm) with a photo ID. We'll inspect on the spot and can pay in cash on the same visit.

We verify your identity from a driver's licence photo uploaded during submission. It's a QLD second-hand dealer compliance requirement — your data stays encrypted and is deleted 90 days after payment.

Step 3

We inspect

Our technicians inspect every device within one business day of receipt. We check the screen, body, battery health, all functional components, and confirm the phone matches your description.

If we find your iPhone is in a different condition to what you described, we'll send you a revised offer by email. You can accept it, or we'll ship the device back to you for free — no questions asked, no obligation to proceed. We'd rather lose the deal than surprise you.

Step 4

You get paid

Once your offer is accepted (which is automatic if our inspection matches your description), we pay you the same day. Choose your method at submission:

  • Bank transfer. AUD to your bank account using BSB + account number.
  • PayID. Faster — usually within minutes. Email, mobile or ABN handles.
  • Cash on pickup. Only available if you drop your phone off in store.

Typical timing: payment lands within 24 hours of inspection completing.
